Bleeding Mulberry, 2025

Sculpture (hand-dyed silk, viscose, PVC tubing, rubber stopper, marker, pine twigs)

Unike figs, mulberries are juicy. I suffer from hemophobia and maybe that’s why I’m interested in the radical fantasy of the holy communion, when wine becomes blood. If the tubing inside the sculpture is filled with a red liquid, the mulberry will bleed and stain.
